Common name:  Cedar Elm, Chinese Elm

The Elms grow well in cool moist climates with deep well-drained soils.  There is a variety growing in Australia and these can be found along the moist coastal regions and in the cool/cold high country where there is enough moister in the soil.

There are some huge Elms grown in Melbourne and the Chinese Elm is seen frequently in Sydney.

 Distribution:

Elms are distributed throughout our mainland States except South Australia and Tasmania.
