Common name: Kentucky BlueGrass, Meadow poa and  Meadow Grass

This is a dense turf, grown in the cooler parts of Australia.  It is a loosely tufted perennial that flowers from October to January and likes a well -watered, well-drained soil. It is short to medium in height with distinctive green to dark green leaves with boat-shaped tips. It is widely used as a garden lawn and in parks

South Australia: Northern Lofty, Murray, Southern Lofty, Kangaroo Island, South-eastern.

New South Wales: North Coast, Central Coast, South Coast, Northern Tablelands, Central Tablelands, Southern Tablelands, North-Western Slopes, Central-Western Slopes, South-Western Slopes, South-Western Plains.

Victoria: Wannon, Grampians, Riverina, Midlands, Victorian Volcanic Plain, Otway Plain, Otway Range, Eastern Highlands, Gippsland Plains, Gippsland Highlands, Wilsons Promontory, Snowfields, East Gippsland.

Tasmania: Furneaux Group, North West, North East, West Coast, Central Highlands, East Coast, South West.
