Rumex acetosella
Common name: Red Sorrel, sheep sorrel, sorrel, field sorrel, horse sorrel, cow sorrel, sour weed, sour-grass.
Red Sorrel is a slender, perennial herb with erect stems and flowers and their leaves are mostly at the base of the plant. The tiny yellow to red flowers eventually turn into small red/brown seeds. It grows to 30 -50 cm tall and can tolerate drought, frost, snow, full sun and low fertility soils but would prefer cool, high rainfall areas.
