Common name: Redroot pigweed, Redroot amaranth. 
This is an erect, annual herb.  It has densely hairy round stems and hairless diamond shaped leaves. It grows to around 1m high with red roots and green flowers. 
 
Distribution:
 
Found in Western Australia, South Australia, Victoria, Tasmania and New South Wales.
